The rain finally went away for the Ladies Golf Club Monday (April 15) and Tuesday (April 16) tournaments. The Monday Nine Hole tournament first low gross winner was Shelly Smith with a score of 52.

The first low net winner was Robyn Dunckhorst with a score of 34, and the second low net winner was Cathy Irons with a score of 47. 

The Tuesday morning 18-hole tournament was “Most 3s, 4s, and 5s” where prizes are awarded to the players scoring the most net 3s, the most net 4s, and the most net 5s. 

In the first flight, Lori Woodland took first place with Marlea Pointer taking second. In the second flight, Holly Gallian was first place and Adua Boyle was second. Holly Gallian and Laurie Pickett both had chip ins.

Laurie Pickett also had fewest putts for the day with 30 and she also was closest to the hole and Hole 2 with a distance of 21 feet 6 inches. Melissa Murphy was closest to the hole on Hole 5 with a distance of 2 feet 6 inches. And yes, she did birdie the hole.


The Monday, April 22, afternoon 9 Hole tournament had quite the turn out with 14 ladies participating! Due to this fact, we were able to award three places for gross and three places for net. The winners are as follows: First low gross winner-Lisa Carlson with a score of 44. Second low gross winner-Debbie Connors with a score of 47. 

Third low gross winner-Shelly Smith with a score of 50. First low net winner-Maria Bengochea with a score of 30. Second low net winner-Candace Longon with a score of 32. Third low net winner- Eleanor Taylor with a score of 35.

The Tuesday morning group played the Crier’s Tournament where one hole on the front nine and one hole on the back nine could be changed to a par. The winners of this tournament are:

First flight: Gail Piquet won first low gross with an 88. Laurie Pickett won first low net with a score of 6.

Second Flight: Pam Hope won first low gross with a score of 109. Anne Sample was first low net with a score of 58. Laurie Pickett had the fewest putts with 29 and had a chip in on hole 3. 

MaryLou Curti had a chip in on hole 5 and she also birdied the hole! Vickie Celio was closest to the hole on #2 with a distance of 7’6”. Anne Sample was closest to the hole on #5 with a distance of 6’5”.
