In the case of Shannon Renee Murphy, charged with DUI – 1st Offense. Defendant entered a Guilty plea. The court canvassed and accepted the same. Defendant, along with their attorney, read and signed the DUI admonishment of rights form, which was also accepted by the court. After hearing from all parties, the court ruled as follows: Sentenced to 30 days jail time with 28 days stayed for a period of one year on the condition defendant serve two days. Given credit for one day time served, 28 hours house arrest ordered for remaining time, to be completed by April 30, 2024. Fined $585, to be paid by cash bail forfeiture. Online DUI school and victim impact panel to be completed by July 1, 2024. Breath interlock device not ordered. Defendant is to follow recommendations evaluation. 


In the case of Marcus Juan Roberts, charged with, 1: DUI – 1st offense, 2: Possession of Firearm 

When Under the Influence of Alcohol. Defendant entered a Guilty plea, the court canvassed and accepted the same. Defendant, along with attorney, read and signed the DUI admonishment of rights form, which was also accepted by the court. After hearing from all parties, the court ruled as follows: Sentenced to 30 days jail time, with 28 days stayed for a period of one year. Stayed jail time on the condition two days served, credit for two days time already served. Fined $585, to be paid in full by June 1, 2024. In person DUI school and victim impact panel to be completed by July 1, 2024. Breath interlock device ordered for 185 days with 108 days credited for installation.

April 10

In the case Justin Wyatt Fettic, charged with, 1: Resisting a Public Officer, 2: Violation of a Temporary or Extended Protective Order – 2 Counts. Pursuant to negotiation, DDA Steve Girardot motioned to dismiss Count 1 and 3, while the defendant entered a No Contest plea to Count 2. The court canvassed his plea and accepted the same. Victim was present to give victim impact statement. After hearing from all parties, the court ruled as follows: Fined $1,140, with 

$640 suspended for a period of one year on the condition of no further violations of the law other than minor traffic. The remaining $500 is to be paid in full by June 14, 2024.


In the case of Justin Wyatt Fettic, charged with Stalking. Pursuant to negotiation, DDA Steve Girardot motioned to dismiss this case. Without objection from the defense, the court accepted this motion.

In the case of Katie Eugenia Paquette, charged with, 1: Abuse/Neglect of an Older/Vulnerable Person, 2: Abuse/Neglect of an Older/Vulnerable Person. 3: Possession of a Controlled Substance. Prior to court, an amended criminal complaint was filed, which was acknowledged by all parties. After review of the complaint, DDA Steve Girardot amended it a second time, which again was acknowledged by all parties. The defendant entered a No Contest plea to the amended charges. The court canvassed her plea and accepted the same. After hearing from all parties, the court ruled as follows: Fined $710, with $35 suspended for a period of one year on the condition of no further violations of the law other than minor traffic. The remaining $355 is to be paid by monthly payments of $50, beginning June 1, 2024.

April 11

In the case of Rodney Wayne Armstrong, charged with Breach of Peace. Defendant entered a Guilty plea to the amended charge. The court canvassed his plea and accepted the same. After hearing from all parties, the court ruled as follows: Fined $355, which is suspended for a period of one year on the condition of no further violations of the law, other than minor traffic.


In the case of Hailey M, Daley, charged with Battery on Protected Person – 2 Counts. Pursuant to plea agreement, the court sentenced as follows: Fined $2,280, which is suspended for a period of two years on the condition of no further violations of the law other than minor traffic, as well as following all recommendations of the evaluation. Bond exonerated. 


In the case of Michael Eugene Newhart, charged with Reckless Driving. Pursuant to negotiation, defendant entered a No Contest plea to the amended charge. The court canvassed his plea and accepted the same. After hearing from all parties, the court ruled as follows: Fined $1,140, with $300 converted to jail time and given credit for time served. The remaining $840 is to be paid in full following court. 


In the case of Brandon Lee Barnes, charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. The county called two witnesses, the defense did not call any witnesses, and defendant did not testify. It appearing to the court by evidence and testimony presented that the defendant was found guilty. 

After hearing from all parties, the court ruled as follows: Fined$1,140, to be suspended for a period of two years on the condition the defendant successfully complete drug court. Defendant is hereby released on his charge. 

April 12

In the case of Levi Randall Egger, charged with Domestic Battery. Defendant previously entered Guilty plea. Court ruled as follows: Fined $1,140, court converted fines to seven days jailed an given credit for time served. 


In the case of Arik Dean Tiensvold, charged with Battery – Amended. Defendant entered Guilty plea to amended charge. Court ruled as follows: fined $1,140. Defendant was given credit of $300 for two days jail time served, leaving a balance of $840. Court suspended $340 on condition no new like violations for a period of one year, leaving a balance of $500. Defendant is to pay $50 monthly payments with first payment due on or before July 1, 2024. 


In the case of John Milo Carter, charged with, 1: DUI – 1st Offense, 2: Speed. Defendant entered a Guilty plea and he, along with his attorney, read and signed the DUI admonishment and waiver of rights form. The court canvassed and accepted his plea and ruled as follows: Sentenced to 30 days jail time with 28 days stayed for a period of one year on the condition defendant serve two days and was given credit for two days time already served. Fined $585, to be paid from cash bail posted. DUI school and victim impact panel to be completed by June 1, 2024. Online approved as he lives out of state. Breath interlock device was not ordered. Pursuant to negotiation, county dismissed count 2 – Speed.
