Humboldt County Pets at the Pound

The following animals were recently picked up by animal control. More information on impounded dogs at the Sage Heights shelter is available by calling the shelter at (775) 623-6403 or Sheriff’s Dispatch at (775) 623-6429 and leaving a message, 24 hours a day. When calling, be prepared to provide the dog’s description, license number and general area in which it was lost.



Aug. 8

A male tri-colored hound mix was picked up at the shelter.

A male black Labrador mix was picked up on Rowan Way.



Aug. 9

A male dark brindle hound mix was picked up on Grass Valley Rd by Lazy P Farm. *Reclaimed

A neutered male tan brindle Catahoula mix was picked up on Westmoreland/Stratus. *Reclaimed

A male black and white husky was a surrender to the shelter. *Adopted



Aug. 10

A neutered male brindle pit bull mix was picked up at the shelter.

A female tan and white pit bull mix was picked up at the shelter.



Aug. 11

A female yellow Labrador mix was picked up at Jack in the Box. *Reclaimed



Aug. 12

A female tri-colored Beagle was picked up near the D3 Church. *Reclaimed.

A male brindle mastiff was picked up at the Weso Apts. *Reclaimed

A female tri-colored German Shepherd was picked up at the Weso Apts. *Reclaimed

A male liver German Short Hair was picked up on E. Thomas Canyon.

A male black and white spaniel was picked up on Jupiter. *Reclaimed

A male brindle hound was picked up on Grass Valley Rd.



If you are looking for a canine friend to adopt, please call us at (775)623-6403. Dogs are available for viewing every day from 8 am – 4 pm. Licensing is a city and county ordinance. Please license your dog. This will help us get him back to you should he become lost. The ASPCA Animal Poison Control Center can be reached at 1-888-4-ANI-HELP (1-888-426-4357). There is a fee for the call.
